About us

Tony is a Londoner who has made a
lifelong study of the Great War.
He was one of the very first members
of the Western Front Association, a world-wide association
of some 6000 members based in England, which he later served as
Chairman, instigating the annual Act of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in
London on November 11th. For over
25 years he has walked the Western Front
from the English Channel to the Swiss border and has led over one
hundred tours to these historic fields. A retired Civil Engineer,
Tony now lives in Luxembourg, with
easy access to the battlefields.

| Christina originally trained as a
lawyer but her prime interest has always
been military history.
Having lived in Luxembourg for most
of her life, she speaks several languages,
which enables her to research aspects
of the Great War that are little-known
in the English-speaking world. She
is an acknowledged expert on the battles
of Verdun, the Argonne Forest and
the St. Mihiel Salient and has written
the definitive book on the role of
Fort Douaumont during the Battle of
Verdun 1916.

For many years she has led driving
and walking tours of the battlefield
for individuals and groups. While
normally guiding in English, Christina
also offers guided tours of the Verdun
battlefield in French and Danish.

I have been to Verdun
with Tony and Christina. I can say,
without reservation, that there
are no two better guides in the
entire world. Their knowledge of
the Great War, especially the Battle
of Verdun, is second to none. Furthermore,
the Verdun battlefield is a must
see because it is so remarkably
well-preserved. The trench lines,
forts, pillboxes, craters, and ruins
are all still there to see. I cannot
recommend this tour highly enough.
If your travel plans
take you to France and you are interested
in battlefield tours, you cannot
go wrong with Tony and Christina.
